PAWS/LA, a Los Angeles-based non-profit agency committed to keeping people and pets together, will hold its first annual ReelDog Film Fest at the Cheviot Hills Recreation Center, 2551 Motor Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90064 on Saturday, September 26, 2009, from 6-9 P.M.
The Film Fest, a cinematic celebration of all things canine, will feature the screening of approximately 60 minutes of canine-themed short films. This family event represents a unique opportunity for dog-loving Angelenos to share an evening with their special canine companion. The festivities will be held outside under the stars and animal guardians and their canine companions will gather with picnic dinners, lawn chairs and blankets.
Proceeds from the event will support programs of PAWS/LA — a non-profit agency dedicated to preserving the human-animal bond by assisting low-income seniors and people debilitated by life-threatening illness keep and care for the animal companions.
Tickets to the ReelDog Film Fest are $10 per person. Canines and children under 12 are admitted for free. Tickets are available at the door. The box office will open at 6:00 p.m. The screening will begin at sundown. For more information visit www.pawsla.org or call 323/464-7297 x 113.
