Mar Vista Patch reports on an Earth Day Conference in Silver Lake inspired by Mar Vista's goal of 100% clean electricity by 2018.
In 2009 Mar Vista became the first neighborhood in Los Angeles to adopt a local version of the RepowerAmerican.org goal of 100% clean electricity nationwide by 2018. Since then the Venice Neighborhood Council has adopted a similar clean energy goal for the neighborhood.
And with an Earth Day Conference last weekend, the Silver Lake Neighborhood Council has kicked off a campaign for 100% clean power in the neighborhood by 2018.
