I recently added this to the Sustainability group but just as relevant here in Xeriscaping: The closest free city mulch made from our Green bins has now reopened near the old site at 6000 West Jefferson 90016 but the trick is they relocated it to the rear of the property. Driving Eastbound on Jefferson after Culver City ends and LA begins look for 6000 W. Jefferson but then turn right on Holdredge Ave. 1 block and right on Bowcroft Street 1 block to the end. The mulch pile is on the right next to the chain link fence. Didn't seem to be gated so it should be available 24/7. The city replenishes it every few weeks or days depending on use. Bring your own shovel, bags, pickup truck etc.

I'm interested in a community garden in the Mar Vista area as the Ocean View Farms waiting list is about 2 years long. Anyone else want to talk about it?
