Mar Vista Farmers Market

The collective showcases the work of its artisans at the Mar Vista Farmers Market on the first Sunday of the month. If you are interested in participating, you must live in Mar Vista and make what you sell.

Mar Vista is rich with many talented artist and artisans. For artists or crafters living in Mar Vista the Mar Vista arts and crafts collective is a way to connect with other artists to share, network, create new events and support each other's dreams.

From The Founder

The Mar Vista arts and crafts collective is a place to get inspired,
a place to network and get to know fellow artist in Mar Vista.
the collective is also a place where you can choose to work on ideas together.
Our arts and crafts collective will with time become the umbrella for a lot of sub groups.
Some of us might want to organize an art show for a charity,
Some of us might want to coordinate a special “get to know your artsy neighbors" event.
Dream it up.
The possibilities are endless.
I am looking forward to working together and creating new sales opportunities and exposure for artists in our community.
peace,
birgitta

I am looking forward to participating in any upcoming events! My work has been shown in a one month show called "Sand In Your Pants - The California Beach" at the Blue Seven Gallery last summer. I also participated and sold my art at the Pico Art Walk last August. I am looking forward to an upcoming solo show which will be at the Lloyd Taber Library for one month in March (oops! might be May) Keep in touch!

Always excited to be a part of something creative! I'd be happy to have the opportunity to contribute to charity events, along with the chance to meet new people and (always!) new clients! I am a web designer. Here's a link to my work: http://www.giabdesign.com Thanks, Birgitta, for the invitation.

Happy to be a member here. Arts AND wireless -- what can be better?

Another idea is a time bank. The concept is simple: Members create an online profile that includes a list of the work they'll do free, or "offers" & "requests" for what they want in exchange. Instead of exchanging services, they trade with the bank for credit.

The L.A. City Repair Committee of the Westside Permaculture Guild is Looking for a site to do an intersection repair and street mandalla with Mark Lakeman when he comes down here. The ideal location would be in a residential area, with all four neighbors on the corners totally supporting the project. for more on cityrepair
