Event Description

The Gateway Performance Series (GPS) opens its 2018 Season by presenting a concert entitled, “Somewhere between Fantasy and Oblivion,” on Saturday, January 27 at 7:30 p.m.  The concert is a part of the Villa-Lobos International Chamber Music Festival, and will feature Lars Hoefs (cello), Rose Chen (piano), Karl Pasch (clarinet) and Elisa Ruiz (soprano), presenting music by Brazilian composers – Villa-Lobos, Villani-Côrtes and Ripper, as well as Piazzolla from Argentina.


The concert will be held in the sanctuary of the Gateway Christian Church (11760 Gateway Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90064).  Tickets are $11 in advance (online) and $15 at the door.  For more information on programs, tickets and donation opportunities, visit
